Ocean Institute Names New
Director of Maritime Programs
DANA POINT, CA, June 18, 2007 - The Ocean Institute is pleased to welcome Brent
Rudmann as its new Director of Maritime Programs. In this role, he will oversee all children's
programs on the Institute’s two tall ships, the Pilgrim and Spirit of Dana Point, as well as work
with the ships’ volunteers and oversee ship maintenance.
Rudmann has worked previously for the Institute, but was more recently employed as a
maritime heritage program educator in Norfolk, Virginia, and as manager of the Zwaanendael
Museum in Lewes, Delaware. He is currently a resident of Anaheim.
