$1 Million Laguna Beach Home Raffle Sells Out,
Grand Prize Drawing Set for Oct. 27
DANA POINT, CA, October 11, 2007 - The Ocean Institute's 2007 Laguna Beach
Million Dollar Home Raffle has proven the most popular ever, with all 18,000 of its tickets being
sold by yesterday's deadline. "Selling all 18,000 tickets and raising $2.7 million to support the
Ocean Institute was very satisfying," commented Bill Steel, the Ocean Institute’s Chairman of
the Board.
The Grand Prize drawing for a Laguna Beach home or $1 million in cash will be held
Saturday, October 27, noon at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. In addition to the grand prize,
there will be over 100 cash prizes from $300 to $25,000 plus a bonus drawing for multiple ticket
purchasers who have an additional opportunity to win a Lexus Hybrid SUV, a vacation to Italy,
Grand Cayman, Hawaii and more. Ticket purchasers and other friends of the Institute are
welcome to attend the Grand Prize drawing.
"We're all looking forward to seeing who the new millionaire will be," commented Dan
Stetson, President of the Institute that is the non-profit beneficiary of the home raffle. "The
raffle is very important to us and allows us to take care of the biggest winners, the tens of
thousands of school children we introduce to the wonders of the ocean every year."
Stetson also expressed his thanks to the many sponsors, volunteers and staff who made
the sellout success of the raffle possible.
