Ocean Institute Offers Maritime-Themed Teacher Appreciation Day on April 18

DANA POINT, CA, February 16, 2009 - The Ocean Institute invites teachers and their families to a Spring Teacher Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 18, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Guests are invited to spend a day of adventure as they listen to a maritime lecture, then head to sea on a three-hour Pirate Adventure Sail aboard the Spirit of Dana Point. During the sail, participants will discover the real pirates of Dana Point, hoist sail, fire the cannons and fight off pirates.

Teacher Club members and their families are FREE. Non-teachers are welcome to attend. Cost is $15/adult; $10/child (ages 4-12). Children must be at least 4 years of age or older to participate in this program. Registration is required.
