ocmi1980 : Stanley Cummings

Stanley Cummings was appointed President of the organization in the early 1980s.

As CEO, he developed sustainable maritime programs for all ages, including hands-on exhibits, K-12 curriculum, teacher education programs, partnerships with regional marine partners which included the purchase and use of two tall ships and a research vessel. Stan completed his Ph.D. at Stanford in Science Curriculum & Teacher Education. He and his wife, Sigrid, have two daughters.
