Science Instructor

Science Instructor, Ocean InstituteJoin us at our state-of-the-art seaside learning center in Dana Point and at the Lazy W Ranch, our outdoor teaching facility in the Cleveland National Forest. Help guide our students as they immerse themselves in the exploration of marine science, oceanography, California history, and ecology through a variety of hands-on programs, including:

  • Offshore investigations on our floating laboratory, RV/Sea Explorer
  • Marine science discoveries at our onshore laboratory and at the Dana Point Marine Life Refuge
  • California cultural history explorations at the Lazy W Ranch in the Cleveland National Forest
  • Southern California ecology and biology investigations during our Outdoor Education programs

Maritime Living History Instructor

Join our instructional staff in providing award-winning educational programs aboard our tall ships and at our Outdoor Education facility in the Cleveland National Forest! Instructors bring history alive by combining progressive teaching skills and strategies with authentic, hands-on experiences to take students grades 2 and above on exciting journeys in learning. Programs take place dockside in Dana Point Harbor, on the open sea and at the Lazy W Ranch.

Adopt-A-Class Sales Associate and Manager

The Adopt-A-Class Sales Associate and Manager is responsible for the management of the Adopt-A-Class Program. This program raises funds for students who could not otherwise participate in OI field trips to have the opportunity do do so. Many of these students are from Title l schools.

Marketing and Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager coordinates, reviews and produces marketing, advertising and promotional materials which include, but are not limited to, print, social media and emarketing. The Marketing and Communications Manager develops and facilitates marketing plans for new and existing programs to attract and retain new and existing customers. This position will also provide marketing assistance for out fundraising events.
