Sand Dollar Guild Membership
New members are invited to learn more about the Guild and how they can link their concern for the marine environment with the fundraising goals of the Sand Dollar Guild. Members proudly wear a membership pendant depicting a sand dollar and the Ocean Institute's friendly gray whale.
Membership Requirements
Dues are payable on January 1st of each year, designating membership from January 1st to December 31st of that same calendar year. Members joining after July 31st shall pay half the dues.
Active Members
The Guild is limited to 75 Active Members who attend monthly meetings and support all fundraising activities. These members must be in good standing and pay annual dues. They are required to attend regularly scheduled meetings, participate in and support all fund raising activities of the Guild. They will receive all notices, and be entitled to vote and hold office. Dues $50
Friends of the Sand Dollars
The Guild encourages members who cannot attend monthly meetings, but wish to support the fundraising activities of the Guild, to become a Friend of the Sand Dollars. These members must be in good standing and pay annual dues. They can attend regular meetings whenever possible and participate in and support all fund raising activities of the Guild. They will receive all notices, and be entitled to vote. Dues $100
Associate Member
These members must be in good standing and pay annual dues. They have NO requirements to attend meetings or support fund raising activities. They will receive all notices but may NOT vote. These members can transfer to Active status at any time of the year. Dues $200
Honorary Members
These members are appointed at the discretion of the Board of Directors and shall receiver all notices but may NOT vote.
Corporate Patron
A corporate Patron shall underwrite a minimum of $1,000 toward a fund raising event each calendar year. Patrons are not required to attend meeting and may not vote.
