Sand Dollar Guild Membership
New members are invited to learn more about the Guild and how they can link their concern for the marine environment with the fundraising goals of the Sand Dollar Guild. Members proudly wear a membership pendant depicting a sand dollar and the Ocean Institute's friendly gray whale.
Membership Requirements
Dues are payable on January 1st of each year, designating membership from January 1st to December 31st of that same calendar year.
Active Members
Shall be a member in good standing and pay annual dues. Shall attend regularly scheduled meetings, participate in and support all fund raising activities*, serve on a committee and support the activities of the Guild. Shall receive all notices, be entitled to vote and hold office.. Dues $50
Associate Member
Must be an Active Member for two years. Must purchase two entrance/admission tickets to the annual fund raising event(s). Shall receive all notices but may not vote or hold office. May transfer to Active status at any time of the year Dues $200
Honorary Members
Will be appointed at the discretion of the Board. Shall receive all notices but may not vote or hold office.
Sponsor
Have no requirements to attend meetings or support fund raising activities. Shall receive all notices but may not vote or hold office. May transfer to Active status at any time of the year. Dues $500
Corporate Patron $1,000
Shall underwrite a minimum of $1,000 toward a fund raising event each calendar year. Shall not be required to attend meetings and may not retain vote. Dues $1000
* “Support all fund raising” DEFINITION: The Active and Associate member is required to purchase two ticket(s) to the specified fund raising event(s) during the calendar year in addition to any sales/duties that may be requested. The(se) event(s) will be indicated in the calendar and will be discussed and voted on at the monthly meetings.
