Karen's experience as a surfer, diver, angler, and artist will inspire your exploration of the Pacific Ocean through hands-on activities leading to the creation of your own masterpiece, which, in turn, will inspire others to explore, appreciate and conserve our precious ocean habitat. Barbara Hughston and her daugher, Kate, love spending time together in the kitchen creating delicious and healthy food. During this class participants will use the freshest and best ingredients to create Healthy Summer Snacks for the Beach. With a focus on reusable packaging and locally grown produce, children will take home a lesson in sustainability and gain confidence in the kitchen while having a great time in the inspiring setting at the Ocean Institute. Pamela has found an outlet for her passion of the ocean and sustainable living through her commpany, Soul of the Sea Clothing.  Her hope is to inspire individuals to learn more about the fascinating marine world and to take steps to help protect it for future generations to enjoy.

Derek Sabori
Join the author, Derek Sabori for a morning of storytelling, light eco-lessons and creative insight. Derek will break down the story behind the story and engage the kids in the idea of seeing a problem and tackling it by way of book writing. Lagoonies Lagoonies
11 years ago, Colleen Corbett became a member of the Sawdust Art Festival. It was in this festival her bright and whimsical characters became available to the public. Colleen painted them on canvas. Colleen made prints and cards from the original paintings. She cut them out of wood and used acrylic paint to bring them to life. Create your own fun and whimsical creature with the Lagoonies!
