Field Trips
A Day in the Chaparral
Grades 4-6
Five hours, $37 per student, $18 per
chaperone for 30-90 participants
Spend a day at the Lazy W Ranch exploring
the riparian, oak woodland, and chaparral ecosystems. Activities
include identifying the biological and physical factors that distinguish each environment, collecting stream insects,
investigating food webs, identifying plant and animal adaptations, and having an opportunity
to interact with the animals
in our Nature Center.
