Sea Floor Lab/Cruise Combo
 Grades 6-8
Four hours, $1500 for up to 45 participants ($1550 for programs Jan. - June 2008)
Lab only,
Two hours, $650 for up to 45 participants ($675 for programs Jan. - June 2008)
Cruise only,
Two hours, $850 for up to 45 participants ($875 for programs Jan. - June 2008)
Students investigate plate tectonics, sea floor geology, sediment cores, microfossils, test ROVs and underwater seismicity. Aboard research vessel Sea Explorer students retrieve a core sample and sieve the sediments for microfossils, survey the seafloor with side-scan sonar and operate our SeaBotix ROV.
