David A. Jochim

David Jochim is a managing director in Union Bank’s Wealth Management Group. His team is responsible for delivering custom banking solutions to professional service businesses, including credit facilities, cash management services, investment advisory and investment management products, trust and estate services.
Mr. Jochim has been with Union Bank since 1991. Prior to his current position, he managed the San Jose Corporate Banking Group which provided banking services to technology firms in Silicon Valley, and agri-business companies in Monterey County. Prior to San Jose, he managed the East Bay Commercial Banking Group with an emphasis on the Northern California wine industry. He is responsible for developing and implementing bank’s successful wine industry strategy.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Jochim holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree from the St. Mary’s College and a bachelor’s degree from the California State University Sacramento. He has completed several graduate management programs for wine industry studies at University of California at Davis. Prior to his career at Union Bank, he worked in the commercial banking groups at Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America.
Mr. Jochim is a board member of the Challenged Athletes Foundation, and the Ocean Institute, as well as on the advisory boards of Turley Wine Cellars and the O’Neill Sea Odyssey. He is a past judge of University of California Irvine’s annual Business Plan Competition, and the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” program. He is a competitive athlete, having completed several Ironman distance triathlons, endurance swims, and marathons. He resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife Lynn and daughters Alexandra and Natasha.
