‘Town Hall’ Volunteer Meeting

The Chair of the Ocean Institute Executive Board would like to hold a ‘Town Hall’ type meeting to update you on what’s happening in Ocean Institute and hear your thoughts. Please join us for this meeting on Thursday!

All Ocean Institute volunteers, age 55 and above, are cordially
invited to join us on Thursday, March 16th to hear about the
OneOC RSVP Program (Retired Senior Volunteer Program). Come join
us for cookies, coffee and conversation!
RSVP volunteers are eligible for annual recognition including the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, special events and more. If you have already been volunteering with the Ocean Institute, after you complete the brief application, you will receive recognition this year!
RSVP is one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the nation with more than 360,000 volunteers. OneOC hosts more than 800 RSVP volunteers in Orange County in education, STEM, health & nutrition and public safety programs.
Jazz Festival – Volunteers Needed

The Ocean Institute turns 40 this year so we hope you will
help us celebrate with two nights of exciting musical
entertainment from Michael Paulo, Ray Parker, Jr., Gregg Karukas,
and Kevin Toney!

Summer Camp Volunteers 2017
Summer Camp Volunteer applications are now live! Please apply as soon as possible. There will be no lottery this year; it is first come first served. Summer Camp Volunteer training is set tentatively for May 20, 2017. Summer Camp Volunteers have a separate application available on our Volunteer Opportunities page.
Celebrate Earth Day at Ocean Institute. Bee-Mindful is the theme of this years festivities. The Public Programs high school intern, Nicole Mandelbaum, will be running a special tie dye work shop using all natural dyes from native plants. All of these activities will need volunteers!
