Join the Ocean Institute in the Samueli Conference Center for The Nicholas Endowment Distinguished Speaker Series with Dr. David Wilmot of Ocean Champions.
Dr. David Wilmot is the co-founder and president of Ocean Champions, a non-profit organization that aims to create a political environment where protecting and restoring the oceans is a priority of federal and state governments. After earning his PhD in marine biology from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, Dr. Wilmot, developed a passion for advocacy for our oceans including working to ban Styrofoam on UCSD and local San Diego beaches, receiving a National Sea Grant Marine Policy Fellowship at the Nation Research Council’s Ocean Studies board, and serving as Executive Director of the Ocean Wildlife Campaign.

For persons over the age of 21, your ticket will include one adult beverage, a cash bar will be available for additional beverages.
