Ocean as our Canvas: Recycled Art Workshop
Are you ready to save the world using art? Do you like crafts and fun? Are you interested in learning about the effects of trash on the Ocean? Join us for our World’s Ocean Day event! You’ll be instructed on how to reuse old household items to decorate your own canvas bag. Not only will you be able to celebrate World’s Ocean Day by learning the steps you can take to save the ocean, you will also put your creativity and skills into action by creating your own personalized canvas tote bag to take home! All art decorations will be made with recyclable items.
We will begin each session with a brief introduction to the harmful effects of trash on the ocean and how we can each do our part in saving the world. Guests will be given the opportunity to showcase their artistic skills and take home a personalized bag.
Join us at 1:00 pm for a special presentation by Bureo Skateboards: a company that transforms old fishing nets floating in our oceans into skateboards! Learn about the process of re-pelletizing fishing net waste of the Chilean coastline and transforming them into the minnow skateboard. Be amazed how one great idea can go the distance in helping our oceans.
