General information

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development and working closely with senior management, assigned Board of Director’s committees, and staff, the Director of Marketing will plan, direct and coordinate marketing, communications and public relations efforts to meet the annual and long-term objectives of the Ocean Institute (OI). The Director will augment the visibility of the institution by developing, managing and implementing communication strategies involving media relations, advertising, graphic communication, website maintenance and social media strategies.  This position also serves as institutional brand manager for messaging and visual communications, internally and externally.
