It’s been a busy month at the Ocean Institute! Here are some of the highlights:
Girls in Ocean Science Teen Conference
The Girls in Ocean Science Teen Conference on February 20 was a huge success! This sold out-event inspired a new group of future scientists. Congratulations to Karen Jhawar and the Girls in Ocean Science committee members. The next session is scheduled for March 19 and still has a few spots available.

Wednesday, March 3. If you know of anyone interested in volunteering, please encourage them to come our open house on March 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 to learn how they can become a volunteer, benefits, roles, and more.

Two Years Before the Mast Reading, April 1, 2, & 3
The Dana Point Historical Society, in collaboration with the Ocean Institute, presents the sixth public reading of the complete text of Richard Henry Dana’s book, Two Years Before the Mast in the Maritime Barn. They are looking for volunteer readers; if interested, you can sign up by emailing email@example.com or call 949-899-0907.
